Jennifer moved into her new home several months ago, and she asked me to help her with her kitchen. She had professional movers box everything up and transport it to her new place.
The new house is gorgeous, great natural light, a wonderfully designed kitchen. I was so excited to help her move in.
My first step was to wipe down all surfaces and install shelf liners throughout the space. I also knew that I would need a spice rack, as Jennfier is an enthusiastic cook, so I installed that as well in a cupboard near the stove- out of sight, but in easy reach.
Once I had unpacked most of the casserole dishes and baking supplies, I asked Jennifer to help me decide where to put these items- afterall, she knows which items she prefers to use, which things are used every day, and which are for parties only, etc. We spent some time rearranging these items to make the best use of the space.
Of course, movers don't declutter beforehand, they just throw everything in boxes and haul it away. There was a lot of open and expired food that I just tossed. Ideally, these items would have been disposed of before the move.
Here are the gorgeous "after" photos (check out those gorgeous clean white countertops!).
